Promises.
Liked today. Saw Meechy in the morn. Worked out. Spent most of the day with Lizard. She came with me to visit Brit, and seeing Brit was great..we always have much to laugh about. Even when life presents her with unfortunate circumstances-that girl still is full of joy! Amazing.
Been thinking today about how I want the promises of God to be ingrained into my mind. He doesn’t promise health, wealth, certain strengths/talents, or comfortable circumstances. However, these are things He does promise:
-Eternal Life…John 3:16
-Forgiveness…Acts 10:43
-Victory of Sin…1 Corinthians 10:13
-His constant presence…Hebrews 13:5
-Peace and joy…John 14:27
-Purpose and meaning…Romans 8:28
-Comfort in sufferings…2 Corinthians 1:3-4
I remembered journaling about this earlier in the semester after a chapel in which the speaker talked about all of this.
Comforting that Jesus tells us in John 16:33 to take heart, because although this life brings us trouble, it is possible to overcome the hardships because He did it!
